Masking Agent

Masking agents are specific chemical compounds that are used to cover up the detection of other chemical ingredients . For cosmetic and skin-care products, masking agents may disguise the unpleasant or unwanted odor of other chemical ingredients found in a product.

  • “Fragrance” (The FDA doesn’t always require the masking agent to be identified)
