Dr. Marissa J. Perman grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York for her undergraduate studies. She then completed her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine followed by pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She later completed a dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati. After 6 years in Cincinnati, she moved to Philadelphia, PA for a pediatric dermatology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Perman is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her current interests include infantile hemangiomas, epidermolysis bullosa, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sunscreen safety and efficacy. She enjoys playing lacrosse and spending time with her family.
