Bio

Emerald is a second year Physician Assistant student at The University of California Davis, expected to graduate in September 2019. She graduated from California Baptist University, where she earned her degree in Health Science with a concentration in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies. Before she began PA school, she worked at a free clinic in San Bernardino, California catering to underserved and homeless populations. It was there that she developed a love for people, medicine, and the ideologies of universal health care rights for all. While working at the free clinic, she saw many skin pathologies that greatly piqued her interest in the field of dermatology. During her free time, Emerald works as a co-director at The Willow Clinic, a UC Davis student-run clinic in Sacramento, California. The Willow Clinic caters to the homeless, a population that is very near and dear to her heart. In the future, she wishes to become a certified Physician Assistant and specialize in dermatology, ideally working with underserved populations who are so worthy of care.
